The 2018 NFL Draft will last seven rounds and likely wrap up around 6 p.m. ET.
If you like the NFL Draft, folks, stick around after for the real fun
The UDFA round is where the real magic happens.

After that, though (and shortly before it, if we’re being honest) is when the undrafted free agents scramble begins. That’s when all 32 teams stampede over each other to try to ink all their favorites from among the players who didn’t get picked.
It’s a big free-for-all, with agents fielding calls and some fortunate players ending up able to pick from several teams, meaning it can end up providing a better situation for highly rated players, who essentially get to be recruits.
How long does the UDFA period last?
Well, it doesn’t technically end, per se, but teams start announcing full lists of signees on the Sunday morning after the draft, with some lists not making it out until Monday-ish.
We’ll be keeping track here at SB Nation, and you should also visit your team’s site to check for a list of relevant players there.
The UDFA period provides teams roster-fillers and maybe Pro Bowl longshots (17 Hall of Famers weren’t drafted, in fact), players another chance at making rosters, and fans a LIGHTNING ROUND to close the whole event down. It’s usually the funnest part of the whole draft.
