In the closing minute of the first half between the New York Jets and the Buffalo Bills, something notable happened.
Jets finally break dubious streak of offensive ineptitude

The Jets’ offense scored a touchdown.
Trailing 16-0 on the road, the Jets faced a 2nd and goal at the Bills’ 9-yard line. Quarterback Zach Wilson aligned in the shotgun and, after taking the snap, drew the pass rush towards him before flipping the ball to Breece Hall on a screen pass. Hall did a good job of picking up his blockers and sleeping through a tackle attempt, and managed to slice into the end zone for the touchdown:
So, why was this notable?
Because it broke the longest active scoreless streak for an NFL offense this season.
Prior to this score, the Jets’ last offensive touchdown came in the first quarter of their game against the New York Giants in Week 8. That game was played before Halloween.
In fact, the touchdown from Hall was their first in 41 offensive possessions, and it was their first touchdown in 211 offensive plays. According to this graphic from CBS Sports, nearly 200 minutes of game action elapsed between touchdowns:
That is ... a very long time.
Now Jets fans are hoping the do not have to wait as long for the team’s nexts offensive touchdown.
