There’s two weeks left to go before the election and we’re all totally over it at this point. Thankfully there’s one delightful corner of the internet basking in the weirdness of 2024 and turning it into something beautiful beyond all comprehension.

“r/TheDarnold” is a Trump-themed subreddit for Vikings fans, and it’s totally unhinged. Every day fans post about their beloved team, but imitating the style and cadence of Donald Trump.
For the uninitiated: “GEQBUS” stands for “God Emperor Quarterback of the United States,” which as much a Warhammer 40,000 reference as it is about Trump. Either way, fans spend their days extolling the virtues of Sam Darnold, the GEQBUS and slandering the rest of the NFC North in the process.
Right now the primary concern of TheDarnold is to refuse to accept the outcome of the game on Sunday.
If you thought the posts on the sub were wild, just click into the comments and things get even weirder in the best way possible. Essentially every post is just your grandpa screaming on a message board with all-caps on the entire time.
It’s impossible not to spend five minutes on r/TheDarnold and not being entertained. Nobody is having more fun right now than Vikings fans, even after a loss. This is a team most pegged to be mediocre right now, and they’re riding the high of having an elite defense, the playoffs in their sights, and of course the stellar play of the GEQBUS.
