Eagles fans chant ‘Thank you Giants’ at Saquon Barkley after monster night

Eagles fans knew who to thank.

Saquon Barkley has been playing stellar football all season, but he absolutely went off on Thursday Night Football. The Eagles’ running back finished his night with 26 carries for 146 yards and two touchdowns, adding another two receptions for 56 yards.

On a night where neither team’s passing offense was shining, it was Barkley who took on the role of difference maker. After the game it was Eagles fans who knew exactly who to thank for making it all happen.

Naturally Eagles fans are over the moon, because it allowed them to land one of the top running backs in the NFL for nothing. The Giants made the bold decision to part ways with Barkley, but to be honest, they wouldn’t be better with him right now either.

Part of the reason Barkley and the Eagles are such an amazing fit is that Philadelphia brings an offensive line to the table that New York never had. We’re finally seeing Barkley’s full potential as a running back, and it’s staggering.

So while it’s naturally fun for Philly fans to poke fun at the Giants for giving them a weapon, it’s also not really New York’s stupidity for letting him go — because that team is a mess with or without Saquon Barkley.
