The Jets have a gift for doing things so stupid, so inane, that you can’t even believe they’re a multi-billion dollar organization. The latest hit comes after an anecdote from The Athletic, which is so mind-blowing it’s beyond belief.
Jets owner Woody Johnson literally runs his franchise like a kid playing ‘Madden’

Yes, team owner Woody Johnson decided to take his football advice off the ratings in Madden, rather than from his own staff. It should be noted that while Jeudy was eventually traded to the Browns he still finished with over 1,000 receiving yards and four touchdowns.
Meanwhile the Jets made the massive splash for Davante Adams, paying him magnitudes more than Jeudy — but at least he satisfied Johnson’s die-hard adherence to the rule of Madden. Adams has 860 yards this season with Aaron Rodgers by the way, so yeah — Jeudy and the Browns’ island of misfit toys at QB did better than Rodgers and Adams.
It’s gotten to the point where people inside the Jets organization are praying Johnson gets sent to another country, just so the team can get back on track.
“Some Jets employees hoped Woody might retake his ambassadorship in the U.K. after Donald Trump was elected president in November, which would once again put Christoper in charge. But on Dec. 2, Trump nominated billionaire Arkansas investment banker Warren Stephens to the post. According to team sources, the decision came as a surprise to the Jets owner.”
More terrible news, Jets fans! The organization is totally out of control and the guy who’s causing it to collapse is staying in New York to keep wrecking havoc on everything. This is the worst possible timeline, with an owner whose understanding of football knowledge is rock bottom, won’t cede control to smarter people, and takes his advice from video games.
