Super Bowl 59 is a wrap and the Philadelphia Eagles have taken home the second Lombardi Trophy in franchise history. The Eagles pummeled the Kansas City Chiefs by a final score of 40-22. It’s time for Super Bowl squares results. We’ve got the first quarter numbers for Super Bowl 59.

The fourth quarter looked like it might be the lowest scoring of the game, but we got some serious garbage time scoring to boost the totals. The Eagles scored a pair of field goals to take a 40-6 lead. The Chiefs followed with a touchdown on a 75-yard drive and then Patrick Mahomes found Xavier Worthy for a 50-yard touchdown. Unfortunately for the Chiefs, it was too little too late.
Historically, 4 and 7 has been the most common combination of numbers at the end of the second quarter. Looking at the last two Chiefs Super Bowls, last year 9 hit for both teams as the game was tied 19-19 at the end of regulation. The Chiefs beat the 49ers in overtime 25-22. The year prior, the Chiefs came back to beat the Eagles 38-35, which meant 8 for Chiefs and 5 for Eagles paid out.
