The Steelers throwback jerseys are the worst NFL uniforms of the year

These are just bad.

A good throwback evokes nostalgia. A wistful feeling for older, simpler times, mixed with memories of watching games with friends and family. That’s a throwback at its best — and the Steelers have shown an example of the worst.

Everyone about this is bad. The jersey looks like something out a British tier two rugby team. Nobody in history has looked good in skin-tight tan football pants. Just because your team wore this at some time in the past, doesn’t mean you need to bring in back.

These uniforms are from 1933. Here are other things from 1933 we shouldn’t bring back simply because they’re old.

  1. Nazism
  2. Segregation
  3. Polio
  4. The Great Depression
  5. Prohibition
  6. The Dust Bowl

This might be the only time in history I feel badly for Aaron Rodgers, because he also had to endure this throwback in Green Bay.

This man is never destined to have a decent throwback.
