Did Drake just curse the Patriots in Super Bowl 60?

Patriots fans woke up to some unsettling news ahead of Super Bowl LX

New England Patriots fans experienced two contrasting emotions when they woke up on Sunday.

First, their eyes popped open and they remembered that later tonight, the Patriots will be playing the Seattle Seahawks with a chance to win Super Bowl LX.

Then they checked their phones, saw a bit of news, and felt a massive pit in their stomachs.

Why? Because of a $1 million bet on the Patriots to win, placed by Drake. The hip-hop star shared an image on social media Saturday night of a bet slip, showing the massive bet on New England:

Drake’s Super Bowl betting history is mixed in recent years. He did not place a bet on Super Bowl LIX — although you could argue he still lost that night — but did cash on a $1.15 million on the Chiefs to win Super Bowl LVIII over the San Francisco 49ers the year before.

But now let’s consider some of his biggest gambling losses, losses that have started the idea of a “Drake Curse.” His betting history has been tracked by DrakeCurse, which has found that on the whole, Drake has actually profited from sports betting.

However, the losses that have come are rather big, which is what has led to the idea of a “Drake Curse.” For example, of the bets he made public in 2025 Drake lost $1 million betting on the Toronto Maple Leafs in the playoffs, he lost an $800,000 bet on the NBA Finals, and lost a bet on Jannik Sinner to win the US Open.

According to DrakeCurse, his last wager was on Jake Paul to beat Anthony Joshua. We know how that turned out.

Still, Patriots fans can find some solace in this wager. According to DrakeCurse the NFL is actually his most profitable sport, where he remains up $1.68 million overall.

We will see how that changes later tonight.
