Hours after trying to take each others heads off in a fight during the Kings-Ducks exhibition game Tuesday night, NHL tough guys George Parros of Anaheim and Los Angeles' Kevin Westgarth met for dinner.
No Word On Whether They Fought Over The Check, Too
In this case, the rivalry the players have on the ice is not stronger than the bond they share off it as friends and Princeton alums. Parros, who formally played for the Kings, helped to recruit Westgarth to the Ivy League school.
“It’s hilarious,” said Westgarth. “My coach from Princeton came, and some alums. Princeton paid, I think. We’re alums now. We’re supposed to donate at least as much money as our dinner cost.”
