↵Can someone please pass along the memo that no matter how hard they try, the NHL will never be able to turn hockey into a star-driven sport like basketball?

Kobe Bryant can take over a basketball game on his own, but no matter how hard Sidney Crosby or Alex Ovechkin or any of the NHL's other stars try, they cannot take over a hockey game single-handedly. The game, at its core, just doesn't allow for that to happen. The NHL's marketing department clearly isn't aware of that.
