Marc Savard Injury Helps Daniel Paille Get Back Into Bruins’ Lineup

Marc Savard’s latest concussion isn’t good news by any stretch of the imagination for the player, the man or his Boston Bruins, but if there’s any silver lining at all, it comes in the lap of B’s forward Daniel Paille.

After four games as a healthy scratch, Paille was able to get back in the lineup as a member of the fourth line with Shawn Thornton and Gregory Campbell.

Savard’s absence also meant changes elsewhere in the lineup. Milan Lucic, David Krejci and Nathan Horton formed a new top line, while Michael Ryder and Blake Wheeler were joined by rookie Tyler Seguin. The line of Mark Recchi, Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron stayed together -- and rightfully so, they’ve been fantastic of late.

The new lines didn’t work last night in Los Angeles, as the Bruins were shut out, 2-0, by the home standing Kings.
