Penguins Vs. Jets Score: Winnipeg Finally Gets First Win Since Relocating
The Jets scored eight seconds into the game, when Kyle Wellwood put a backhander into the net, giving the home crowd something to cheer about right off the bat.
The last time a Winnipeg hockey team won a game was in April of 1996, before the Jets moved to Phoenix and became the Coyotes. This is the Jets first season in Winnipeg since the franchise relocated from Atlanta.
Zbynek Michalek scored the game-winner for the Jets in the final minutes of the second period.
