The story of this game was the penalties. The Bruins, clearly frustrated with their sluggish start and championship hangover, were looking to pick fights, a strategy that resulted in power play after power play. This is the recap of all the penalties in the game, just to give you an idea of just how ugly this game was. There’s a lot of “BOS” on that list, which is why Julien was tossed. This was a great win for the Hurricanes, though, as they go to 3-2-1 on the season.
