The Montreal Canadiens scored the final two goals of the game in a 2-1 win over the Boston Bruins
Canadiens Vs. Bruins Final Score: Tomas Plekanec’s Goal Gives Montreal 2-1 Win
Tomas Plekanec found redemption on Thursday night as the Montreal Canadiens downed the Boston Bruins, 2-1. Technically, the Bruins didn’t put any pucks into the net themselves -- Plekanec gave up an own-goal in the first period for the Bruins only score of the game. At the time, the Bruins held a 1-0 lead, but goals in the second and third period gave the Canadiens the win at TD Garden.
After giving up the first goal of the game, Plekanec scored the game-winner in the third, giving him one for his own team and one for the opponents. It was a bit of redemption for Plekanec and allowed the Canadiens to escape Boston with the road win. The own-goal went straight through goalkeeper Casey Price’s legs right off a face-off.
