Canucks Vs. Kings Preview: Game Time, TV Coverage And More

The Los Angeles Kings and Vancouver Canucks face off Thursday as both teams look to start up a winning streak and finally perform up to expectations

The Vancouver Canucks and Los Angeles Kings have been getting plenty of scoring from their biggest stars, but neither team as a whole has hit their stride thus far. Anze Kopitar is among the NHL leaders in points, as are Henrik and Daniel Sedin, but the likes of Mike Richards and Ryan Kesler have not been at their best.

Vancouver has yet to completely overcome the loss of Christian Ehrhoff to free agency, while the substandard play of Roberto Luongo hasn't done them any favors. The Sedins are scoring enough to keep Vancouver competitive with the top teams in the West, but their 44 goals allowed in 15 games simply isn't good enough.

The Kings’ defense has been fine, but their scoring outside of Kopitar has been sporadic at best. They’ve only scored 34 goals so far this season, and no one other than Kopitar has more than three.

Both teams are coming off wins and will be looking to finally put together a winning streak to get their seasons started. There’s no reason for Canucks or Kings fans to be concerned about their teams’ long-term prospects just yet, but neither team is currently meeting expectations.

Game Date/Time: Thursday, November 10, 10:30 p.m. ET

Venue: Staples Center, Los Angeles, California
