Lightning Vs. Jets Preview: Game Time, TV Coverage And More

The Winnipeg Jets look to snap their five-game losing streak and their 13-game losing streak against the Tampa Bay Lightning when the two teams face off on Monday night

The Winnipeg Jets are struggling and are currently in the midst of a five-game losing streak. Apparently moving a team to a great hockey town and giving them a great logo doesn't automatically make them winners. Who knew? The Jets are still very Thrasher-y in nature, and they're unlikely to change that on Monday night. The Jets/Thrashers have lost 13 consecutive games against their Monday night opponents, the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Tampa hasn't been great on the road this year, but there's no reason they can't start being a great road team. Steven Stamkos is producing offensively with 16 points and 10 goals, while both of their goaltenders have been respectable thus far, though neither Dwayne Roloson or Mathieu Garon looks fantastic.

The Lightning’s power play has struggled this season for all of the scoring talent that they have, and Winnipeg’s struggling penalty kill might be just what the doctor ordered to get that power play moving.

Game Time: 8:30 pm ET
TV Coverage: Sun Sports (Tampa), TSN-Jets (Winnipeg)
Radio: 970 WFLA (Tampa), Sports Radio 1290 (Winnipeg)
