Blackhawks Vs. Blues Preview: Game Time, TV Coverage And More

The Blackhawks head to St. Louis to face Ken Hitchcock’s newest team.

After a 6-7-0 start to the season, the St. Louis Blues had apparently seen enough of coach Davis Payne of his coaching duties. The well-travelled Ken Hitchcock was hired as his replacement and he will make his Blues debut on Tuesday against the Chicago Blackhawks.

Despite the rough start, the Blues have had some bright spots. Perhaps the brightest has been the play of goaltender Brian Elliott, who has gone 5-1-0 with a 1.76 goals against average and a .941 save percentage while basically splitting time with Jaraslov Halak. The Blues have also received decent play from Alexander Steen, who has six goals and three assists.

The Blackhawks have been one of the top offensive teams so far, scoring an average of 3.1 goals per match and are leading the Central Division with 19 points. Unfortunately, they've also been one of the softer defensive sides, allowing nearly 2.9 goals per match. Marian Hossa has been their big goal scorer, bagging seven goals with six assists so far this year. Patrick Kane is having another strong year with four goals and 11 assists.

Game Time: 8:00 p.m. ET
TV Coverage: CSN Chicago (Chicago), Fox Sports Midwest (St. Louis)
Radio: WGN Radio 720 (Chicago), KMOX 1120 (St. Louis)
