Martin St. Louis Injury: Lightning Star Returns, Scores Goal

Wednesday night was not a great night for the Tampa Bay Lightning, as they were crushed by the San Jose Sharks in a 7-2 loss. There was, however, one excellent piece of good news that came out of that game. Just 13 days after taking a puck to the face that broke his nose, cracked his orbital bone and negatively affected his vision, Martin St. Louis returned to the ice for the Bolts. Though his team had a poor game, he was able to score a goal in his return.

You may have noticed in the video above that St. Louis is wearing a full cage, not unlike what his teammate Steven Stamkos did in last years' playoffs after sustaining a facial injury. St. Louis' return will help the struggling Lightning, but him and Stamkos have been doing their part in front of net all year. Their problem is on the other end of the ice, and St. Louis can only do so much to stop the Bolts' opposition from scoring at a frequent clip.
