Dumb penalties have been the story so far in Nashville, as two of the three goals scored between the Predators and the Ducks were scored on power plays that should have been avoided. Nashville has been the better team at full strength, though, and as a result, they've pulled back from one behind on two occasions to tie up the score at 3-3 after two periods.
Ducks Vs. Predators, Game 4: Teams Tied After Two Periods
Down 2-1 after the first period, Nashville equalized with a power play goal, set up by a silly interference penalty committed by Jarkko Ruutu. He paid for his mistake, and Joel Ward scored off of a tip in, deflecting a shot by Cody Franson.
Joel Ward would give one back, though, when he picked up a four minute double minor for a high stick. Teemu Selanne scored to give the Ducks the lead, assisted by Ryan Getzlaf and Cam Fowler. Three minutes later, the Preds would equalize, thanks to an easy goal tapped in by Matt Halischuk.
