VIDEO: Capitals Fans Chant ‘We Are Louder!’ During Game 5 Vs. Rangers

Hockey rivalries can be weird; devoted fans and the intensity of the Stanley Cup playoffs can make for even weirder happenings in NHL arenas. Exhibit A: this video of Capitals fans cheering “We are louder!” at the Verizon Center in Washington during Game 5 of a Eastern Conference Quarterfinals series against the Rangers.

Madison Square Garden may be an arena with a lot of history, but in 2011, there's no doubt that the Verizon Center is the better venue. It's louder, more state-of-the-art, filled with better fans and seemingly looks like it hosts the better team.

So, yes, this is a skirmish about which team has the better venue and/or crowd. You have to love playoff hockey.
