In the series between the Vancouver Canucks and Nashville Predators, neither team has been able to garner more than a one goal lead. In the first period of Game 4, that hasn't changed much. The Canucks and Predators are tied 1-1 after the first twenty minutes.
Canucks Vs. Predators, Game 4: Vancouver And Nashville Tied 1-1 After One
The Vancouver Canucks got on the board first with a Christian Ehrhoff shot that came with a little controversy. Canucks winger Alex Burrows made contact with Nashville goaltender Pekka Rinne as the puck came on net, but since the contact was made outside of the crease, the goal stands. The goal is Ehrhoff's second of the playoffs and first against the Predators.
Nashville tied the game late in the first period as Joel Ward put a rebound in on the powerplay. The Predators powerplay hadn't scored in 12 previous chances against the Canucks and was able to find a goal cleaning up the puck in front of the net. Assists on the goal came from Martin Erat and Cody Franson.
The Canucks offense has been taking control of most of this game with an 11-6 advantage in shots through the first period. Roberto Luongo has five saves thus far while Pekka Rinne has 10 in the game.
