Zdeno Chara Takes A Faceoff In Game 1 Of Canucks-Bruins Series

I did some cursory research, and it looks like Bruins defenseman Zdeno Chara has never taken a faceoff in his NHL career. That, or NHL.com's collection of stats completely excludes defensemen from the faceoff numbers.

Either way, when he stepped up to the dot during the first period of Game 1 between the Bruins and Canucks, it was bizarre. It was even more bizarre when he beat Ryan Kesler, who led his team with a 54.6 percent success rate on faceoffs this season.
