NHL Draft 2011 Results: 2nd Round Features A Goaltender And A Hometown Boy

Highlights of the second round saw the first goaltender be selected by the Nashville Predators, Magnus Hellberg from Swedish Elite League. It also saw only the second and third Russian players to be selected with Alexander Khoklachev going to the Boston Bruins and Nikita Kucherov going to the Tampa Bay Lightning. Mario Lucia received a huge ovation as the Minnesota Wild traded up to get him with the 60th overall pick. Lucia's father is Don Lucia, the head coach of the Minnesota Golden Gophers.
