The Anaheim Ducks have signed a three-year extension with head coach Randy Carlyle, according to NHL.com. Carlyle was set to enter a contract year in his seventh season with the team. His new deal will take him through the 2013-14 season.

Anaheim Ducks head coach Randy Carlyle is now signed through 2013-14 season.
“I’m very grateful to be able to continue coaching the Ducks into the future,” Carlyle said. “The Samuelis have laid a great foundation for success in Southern California both on and off the ice, and my family and I are happy to be a part of it.”
Carlyle has helped lead the ducks to new heights in his tenure, including a Stanley Cup during the 2006-07 season. His .599 winning percentage is the best in franchise history, and his 55 playoff wins are second only to Mike Babcock of the Detroit Red Wings among active coaches.
