Winter Classic 2012 Logo Leaks As NHL Schedules Monday Announcement

The NHL has just announced that it will hold a really big press event at Citizens Bank Ballpark in Philadelphia on Monday with news that may or may not have something to do with the giant Winter Classic logo that was leaked to the media via jumbotron featuring the team logos of the Philadelphia Flyers and the New York Rangers.

While the league loses points for its not-so subtlety in this instance, they have done a nice job pulling off the Winter Classic over the last four seasons. The buildup to this year’s game will reportedly include a “24/7” series through HBO and will be held on January 2 to avoid conflict with a full slate of NFL matchups on New Year’s Day.

The announcement will be broadcast live via your choice of the NHL Network, NHL.com, PhiladelphiaFlyers.com, NewYorkRangers.com and Phillies.com.
