Coyotes Vs. Ducks: Anaheim Extends Win Streak To Three Games With 6-2 Victory Over Phoenix

Defenseman Francois Beauchemin's first three-point night since Oct. 2007 elevates the Ducks to a third straight win, as they hand the Coyotes a 6-2 loss in Anaheim. While Anaheim is flying high right now, Phoenix now drops to 3-4-3 in their last 10 games after suffering their worst loss since Nov. 25 when they lost, 5-0, to the Canucks.

As for the Ducks, they have now won six out of their last seven games, and in those seven games they have scored a total of 31 goals, including Wednesday's match against the Coyotes. So, since Bruce Boudreau has taken over, Anaheim is now 9-9-3. One of the main factors for this recent success in the second half of the season so far has been scoring from players other than the big three of Bobby Ryan, Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf.

Lubomir Visnovsky has been shooting a lot more lately, and as a result has helped the Ducks generate more offense. Wednesday, Visnovsky got the scoring started for the first two goals, blasting a shot from the point that Niklas Hagman and Beauchemin that got the Ducks up 2-1 after giving up the first goal of the game to Kyle Chipchura (who hadn't scored in 75 games until Wednesday).

After Daymond Langkow tied the game at two, players like Nick Bonino and Andrew Cogliano also chimed in the scoring, assisting on Beauchemin's second goal of the game and generating the offense for Jason Blake's tip-in goal.

Anaheim was up 4-2 going into the third, but they continued to press and as Matt Beleskey scored his second goal of the season the Coyotes couldn't muster clear chances to score on Jonas Hiller. To really put icing on the victory, Perry notched a shorthanded goal on a breakaway for the 6-2 seal.

The road for the Coyotes doesn't get any easier, as they will return home to play the Detroit Red Wings. The Ducks will have two-day break before hosting the Ottawa Senators.
