Jonathan Toews To Miss 2012 NHL All-Star Game, According To Report

Jonathan Toews will not be at the NHL's All-Star Weekend in Ottawa, according to TSN. The Chicago Blackhawks forward left Saturday's game against the Nashville Predators with a hand injury, originally suffered against the Florida Panthers on Friday night, and he's been ruled out of Tuesday's game.

The Blackhawks haven’t officially said that he’ll be lifted from the All-Star Game, but it’s certainly not looking like he’ll be attending the festivities.

Replacements haven't been named as of yet, but McKenzie suggests either Scott Hartnell or James Neal, and those seem like safe bets. Neal and Hartnell have been on fire lately and frankly, both players deserve to go for the career-best first halves they've each had. And if both Toews and Alex Ovechkin wind up staying home, perhaps both players will get a nod.
