The traveling exhibition hockey tour organized by Philadelphia Flyers teammates Bruno Gervais and Maxime Talbot ended a run of sold out stops when the tour produced a less-than-ideal turnout on Thursday night.

Titled the Tournée des Joueurs (Players Tournament), the exhibition games were organized as a way to keep players in shape during the lockout in addition to generating some money for charity. Having seen success at it’s previous stops, Thursday night’s game was the most ambitious yet as it was held at the Colisée Pepsi in Quebec.
With a maximum capacity of 15,000, Thursday night’s exhibition game fell well short of that mark, generating an estimated attendance of 5,600. However, it must be noted that this was the largest turnout for the tour thus far, in addition to the arena being the largest venue in which they’ve played.
Despite this, Gervais stated that the players were disappointed with the turnout, via the Montreal Gazette:
“We were hoping we’d get more people. I thought with this city wanting a team, there would be more but I think the fans who were here got a good show.”
