NHL lockout 2012: Donald Fehr speaks with media following owners’ CBA offer

NHLPA executive director Donald Fehr said Monday that the union will take time to go over the owners’ CBA proposal Tuesday before getting back to talks with the Gary Bettman, Bill Daly and the NHL at some point “soon.” Fehr didn’t share much detail about the new proposal, but did express hope that the proposal could lead to an agreement.

“Gary indicated to me and I suspect indicated to you that they would like to get a full 82-game season in,” Fehr sald. “We of course share that view and would like to get a full 82-game season in, so our hope is that after we review this, there will be a feeling on the players’ side that this is a proposal from which we can negotiate and reach a conclusion.”
