Nothing’s been signed yet, but the NHL’s deputy commissioner said the framework for a new CBA may be in place Sunday.

Asked on Sunday whether there was a chance for the sides to get something in place by Thursday’s deadline, Daly responded by saying “that’s more of a question for the union than it is for me.”
“We think there’s a framework of a deal on the table,” he added.
The framework of the deal was not made clear. The NHL Players’ Association is willing to agree to a 50-50 revenue split, Johnston reported, but such concessions would be made only if all current contracts were to be honored in full over the proposed CBA’s five-year life.
The league has said a full 82-game schedule could be played starting Nov. 2 if an agreement is signed Thursday.
Johnston also reported no official bargaining sessions have been scheduled for next week, but the two sides are expected to meet in New York at some point to resume official talks.
The two sides are separated in talks by a total between $320 million and $550 million, Johnston reported.
