At least one sportsbook expects the cancellation of the 2012-2013 NHL season, offering better odds to those willing to bet on the season being wiped out to those who think hockey will be played.
NHL lockout odds favor cancellation of 2012-13 season
Online sportsbook Bovada has released a betting line on whether the 2012-2013 season will be wiped out by the NHL Lockout, and the odds favor the cancellation of the season.

As OddsShark.com reports, Bovada opened up a line Tuesday on whether or not the season that should be ongoing would end up getting cancelled. Yes is a -200 favorite, no is a +150 underdog. In other words, someone willing to put down $100 that the season will occur would get $150 in the supposedly unlikely scenario that they are right. From the company that made the line:
“We feel there is a better chance that it will happen,” said Kevin Bradley of Bovada.
The NHL and NHLPA had meetings Tuesday, but with the lockout almost two months old, hundreds of games cancelled, and the annual Winter Classic called off, things are beginning to get dire. The idea of an 82-game season has already been tossed out the window, with the whole season likely one of the next options on the table if the two sides do not come to an agreement in the coming weeks.
