RBC Play Hockey Challenge: Team Stamkos beats Team Subban, 13-10

39 NHL players were in Toronto to take part in another big charity event. (The original live stream was seen here.) So instead of having a now-expired video embed, we replaced it with Nike’s awesome new hockey commercial.

On Wednesday evening in Toronto, 39 NHL players will suit up for the second massive charity game that’s taken place during this 2012 NHL lockout. The RBC Play Hockey Challenge will be played at the Mattamy Athletic Centre, better known as Maple Leaf Gardens, in Toronto.

You can watch the game, which begins at 7 p.m. ET on Wednesday evening, above.

Montreal Canadiens defensemen P.K. Subban and Tampa Bay Lightning forward Steven Stamkos are the two team captains for the event. The rosters are pretty star-studded.

Team Subban: Chris Campoli, Carlo Colaiacovo, Tomas Kaberle, John-Michael Liles, Subban, Brad Boyes, David Clarkson, Logan Couture, Phil Kessel, Tom Kostopoulos, Matthew Lombardi, Joffrey Lupul, Jay McClement, John MItchell, Steve Ott, Peter Regin, Chris Stewart, Dan Winnik, Martin Biron.

Team Stamkos: Michael Del Zotto, Mike Komisarek, Niklas Kronwall, Dion Phaneuf, Kyle Quincey, Dan Cleary, Tim Connolly, B.J. Crombeen, Steve Downie, Chris Kelly, Clarke MacArthur, Matt Martin, James Neal, Teddy Purcell, Stamkos, David Steckel, Kris Versteeg, Wojtek Wolski, Jonas Gustavsson, Michael Leighton.

All the proceeds from the event will be donated to benefit the NHLPA’s Goals & Dreams Fund and RBC’s Play Hockey campaign. A similar event was held last month in Atlantic City, at which $500,000 was raised for Hurricane Sandy relief.
