2012 KHL schedule: Pavel Datsyuk, Ilya Bryzgalov lead Thursday action

Two games are on the Thursdays schedule in the KHL.

Pavel Datsyuk and Mikhail Grabovski headline KHL action on Thursday, as CSKA Moscow takes on AK Bars in Kazan, Tatarstan.

CSKA currently sits at No. 4 in the Western Conference with 16 wins in 33 games and 62 points overall, thanks to one of the stronger defensive and goaltending units in the KHL. AK Bars has 68 points in 34 games, good for No. 2 in the Eastern Conference, with an equally strong defensive game.

Datsyuk has nine goals and 22 assists in just 25 games, good for second on the team, with Grabovski just behind him with 20 points (10 goals and 10 assists) in 24 games. Goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov has appeared in ten games this season with Moscow, and has a 2.41 goals-against average with a .907 save percentage.

Also in action on Thursday, Vityaz Chekhov takes on the Severstal Cherepovets in Cherepovets, Vologda Oblast, Russia. Vityaz has just 38 points and six wins in 33 games, while Severstal sits No. 7 in the conference with 48 points and 11 wins in 33 games.
