The Philadelphia Flyers announced Thursday that they have acquired defenseman Nicklas Grossman from the Dallas Stars for a second-round pick in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, which was previously acquired from Los Angeles, and a third-round pick in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, previously acquired from the Minnesota Wild, according to general manager Paul Holmgren.

The Flyers acquired defenseman Nicklas Grossman from the Dallas Stars for a second-round pick in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft and a third-round pick in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
The 6-foot-4-inch, 230-pound Grossman has played in 52 games for the Stars this season, recording five assists and 26 penalty minutes along with an even plus-minus rating. Grossman has 100 blocked shots so far this season, which led the Stars and ties his personal career high for an entire season. He also recorded 96 hits this year for Dallas.
Grossman, 27, has played in 333 NHL games for the Stars over parts of six seasons (2006-07 to 2011-12), scoring three goals and adding 38 assists for 41 points. He was selected by Dallas in the second round (56th overall) of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
