Rick Nash scored what may have been his last goal as a Columbus Blue Jacket in a loss to Pittsburgh Sunday, while the Panthers took back the Southeast Division lead with a win and Dallas improved their playoff standing.

    Weiss scored twice, including the game winner in the second period, as the Panthers took advantage of four unanswered goals to win their second straight after four consecutive losses. it was also the second game in as many nights that the the Panthers overcame a 2-0 deficit to win.

    The first of Weiss’ two goals was his first in 12 games, while the second one saw him poke in a rebound for his third multi-goal game of the season and first since Dec. 5. Weiss has been and will continue to be an integral part of the Panthers’ success. With the possibility of their first playoff berth since 2000 in sight, they will need him even more.

    The Ducks have won three of the last four and six of their last eight, as they attempt to erase a horrible start to the season to get into a playoff spot. After the victory over the Blackhawks, Anaheim is just six points shy of the eighth and final spot in the Western Conference.

    It was his first goal in five games and only the second marker for Kane in the last 10 contests. Kane pretty much personifies Chicago’s struggle for offense, as he has tallied just seven times in the last 45 games, dating back to Nov. 16.

    This game featured a very scary moment in the first period when Sharks coach Todd McLellan took a stick to the head in a freak accident. He collapsed and was removed from the bench area, but was ultimately fine and watched the end of the game. Hockey Wilderness was happy with the win, but not with some poor behavior by the home fans.
