Jeff Skinner Suspended 2 Games For Kicking Scott Nichol
Hurricanes center Jeff Skinner has been suspended two games by the NHL for kicking Scott NIchol in Thursday’s game.

The referees didn't penalize Skinner at the time of the play, but the league reviewed the incident and deemed it worthy of handing down a pretty staunch penalty. He will miss the Hurricanes next two games, on the road Saturday and Sunday against the Minnesota Wild and Winnipeg Jets, respectively.
Skinner is only 19, so the Hurricanes hope he’ll learn something from this. He’s been phenomenal for them so far, scoring 41 points — 20 goals, 21 assists — in 55 games, including five points in his last five games. Though he’s just 19, he’s been a major contributor for the ‘Canes in his first two seasons in the league.
