Phoenix Coyotes forward Shane Doan will have a disciplinary hearing with the NHL to discuss his elbow on Dallas Stars forward Jamie Benn during the second period of Phoenix's 4-3 shootout loss.

At 5:54 of the second period, Doan caught Benn in the face with his right elbow, knocking Benn down, but not out. Doan received a two-minute elbowing minor and a five-minute major for fighting Brendan Morrow, who came to Benn’s aid.
Doan's elbow sparked a brawl between the two teams as Raffi Torres, Rusty Klesla, Steve Ott and Trevor Daley all received penalties ranging from minors to misconducts for their roles.
The Coyotes cannot afford to lose Doan for long; the captain has 47 points in 74 games as Phoenix is in ninth place in the Western Conference with 84 points.
