NHL Playoffs 2012, Flyers Vs. Penguins Game 3: Game Time, TV Coverage And More

The Philadelphia Flyers hold a 2-0 series lead as they return home to host the Pittsburgh Penguins. After an 8-5 win in Game 2, can the Flyers keep the winning streak alive?

The Philadelphia Flyers can take a commanding 3-0 series against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Sunday after a resounding 8-5 victory on Friday night. Needing to come back from a 3-1 first period deficit (they were also down 3-0 after the first in Game 1), the Flyers scored three goals in the second period and four in the third for the victory.

The Flyers had not one, but two hat tricks in this game. Sean Couturier and Claude Giroux each picked up three goals, each scoring their third in the final two minutes of the game. Giroux, who also had three assists, picked up one goal on even strength, one on the power play and one on the penalty kill.

The Penguins did hold a 5-4 lead at 1:04 in the third period after Tyler Kennedy scored, but that onslaught of four straight Flyers goals was too much to handle.

Can the Penguins turn things around while on the road against the Flyers? The first test comes on Sunday afternoon.

Game time/date: 3:00 p.m. ET, Sunday, April 15, 2012

Location: Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia, PA

TV: NBC, TSN, RDS
