After the New Jersey Devils and Florida Panthers split the first two games, the series returns to the Northeast tied 1-1, with the pivotal Game 3 on Tuesday. The Devils will be looking to rebound from a tough 4-2 loss to the Panthers on Sunday night, Florida's first playoff victory in 15 years.

After falling behind 3-0, New Jersey scored two goals in the beginning of the third period and Ilya Kovalchuk had a chance to tie the game after winning a face-off in the Panthers' end with 7.6 seconds left. However, Jose Theodore blocked Kovalchuk's shot, setting up an empty net goal from Tomas Fleichman as time expired.

But while a Game 2 win would have swung all the series’ momentum toward New Jersey, the Devils now must defend home ice against the Panthers.
