The 2012 NHL Playoffs will have a truly spectacular Saturday. But before that, on Friday, the Philadelphia Flyers and Nashville Predators can become the first two teams to advance to their respective conference semifinals.
NHL Playoff Schedule 2012: Flyers, Predators On Verge Of Series Wins
The Philadelphia Flyers and Nashville Predators can move on to their respective conference semifinals with wins on Friday night.
The Flyers own a 3-1 lead on the Pittsburgh Penguins in the Eastern Conference Semifinals and will need to get a win in Pittsburgh to eliminate the Pens for good. Game 5 should be a sedate, low-scoring affair; the two teams have combined for 45 goals in the first four games of their series. The puck drops in that game at 7:30 p.m. Eastern.
In Nashville, the Predators will have a chance to eliminate the Detroit Red Wings after winning Games 3 and 4 on the road in the Motor City. Gabriel Bourque's three goals have paced the Preds, who will face off with the Wings at 8:00 p.m. Eastern.
