Frozen Four 2012 Championship, Boston College Vs. Ferris State Score: Eagles Still Holding 2-1 Lead

Boston College still has a 2-1 lead on Ferris State in the NCAA Hockey Division I Championship final, and a chance to leave the Frozen Four with its second national title in three years. The Eagles are just 20 minutes away from the final horn now, and hold that 2-1 lead after a scoreless second period.

Boston College’s Parker Milner had 15 saves in the period, and kept the Eagles out in front despite four power play chances for Ferris State; the Bulldogs will also begin the third period with a man advantage.

But BC also took 14 shots to Ferris State’s 15 despite the many penalties, including one for too many men on the ice, forcing Bulldogs goalie Taylor Nelson to make 14 saves of his own. Both goalies have faced 22 shots on the night, but Milner’s one-save advantage is the difference.
