After falling down 3-0 in their Western Conference Finals match-up with the Los Angeles Kings, the Phoenix Coyotes took the first step in climbing out of the massive hole Sunday by taking Game 4 on the road. For Game 5, the Coyotes will return home to the desert in front of what should be a raucous home crowd, considering this is by far the longest the team has ever played in the playoffs and the Coyotes faithful don't want the ride to end.

Coyotes captain Shane Doan beat the Kings' Jonathan Quick twice in Game 4, and the Coyotes will need more performances like that one if they have any hopes of wresting this series from the Kings' control. Quick has been arguably the best goalie in the playoffs so far -- the Rangers' Henrik Lunqvist and the Coyotes' Mike Smith, who shut out the Kings in Game 4, are the other two who might lay claim to that title -- and it will take a full-on assault to break through again.
The Kings obviously want to close this out as soon as possible for a number of reasons. No. 1 is the ability to rest up before the Stanley Cup Finals. What’s more, every win gives their opponent more confidence, which is a dangerous thing in hockey where historically, 3-0 deficits are not as safe as in other sports.
