Coyotes Vs. Kings, 2012 NHL Playoffs Game 5: L.A., Phoenix Head To Overtime In 3-3 Tie

The Los Angeles Kings and the Phoenix Coyotes played a quiet third period in terms of scoring as the score remains tied at 3-3. The teams will head to overtime, and the Kings will certainly be hungry to get the game-ending goal and win the series, four games to one.

Though this period didn't match the four-goal second period, there were plenty of rough hits, including the Kings' Colin Fraser being checked into the Coyotes' bench (see the .GIF here). The Kings' Jarret Stoll received two minutes for high-sticking Boyd Gordon early in the period.

Los Angeles goalie Jonathan Quick has made 32 saves on 35 shots while Mike Smith has turned away 36 of 39 shots.
