Devils Vs. Rangers, 2012 NHL Playoffs: Game 6 Headed To Overtime

After a back-and-forth battle through the first three periods, the Rangers and Devils are headed to overtime in Game 6.

New Jersey scored twice in the first period to take an early 2-0 lead, but the Rangers came back with two goals of their own in the second period to tie the game. Both teams had their opportunities in the third period, but neither was able to break through.

The Rangers have outshot the Devils 35-26 in the game so far, including an 8-5 advantage in the third period. New York has also protected the puck better than New Jersey, with just one giveaway during regulation while the Devils gave up the puck 10 times.

Martin Brodeur has made a few fantastic saves for the Devils and New Jersey will need him to continue his strong play if they want to avoid a Game 7.
