The Stanley Cup Finals begin Wednesday with Game 1 between the Kings and Devils.


Los Angeles arrived in the Stanley Cup Finals by beating the Phoenix Coyotes in the Western Conference Finals. The Kings have been dominant at times during the playoffs, winning 12 of their 14 games so far. Dustin Brown leads Los Angeles with 16 points, including seven goals. Center Anze Kopitar is second in points with 15.
New Jersey defeated the Rangers in six games to win the Eastern Conference Finals. Ilya Kovalchuk's 16 points leads the Devils while Zach Parise and Travis Zajac are tied for the team lead with seven goals. Martin Brodeur has been solid in goal for New Jersey. His 2.04 goals against average is his lowest postseason average since he posted a 1.65 GAA in 2003.
Wednesday’s Game 1 is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on NBC.
