Lee Stempniak has agreed to a two-year deal, worth $5 million with the Calgary Flames, TSN's Bob McKenzie reports. The right winger's two-year deal that he signed with the Phoenix Coyotes before being traded to Calgary would have come to an end on July 1, making him an unrestricted free agent.

Stempniak notched 14 goals and 14 assists last season for the Flames for 28 points, a three-year low. He has struggled with consistency throughout the career, but for the price he provides some decent depth. Stempniak played in 61 games last season due to a high ankle sprain.

Stempniak has played with four different NHL franchises since joining the league in 2005.
