Taiwanese animators have finally tackled the Stanley Cup Finals, with Next Media Animation releasing one of their famed cartoons following the Kings’ 4-0 Game 3 victory over the Devils Monday evening.
Even The Taiwanese Get The Los Angeles Kings Logo Wrong
The video is exactly what we’ve come to expect from these: Kings that look like actual kings (or perhaps the Burger King), a Devil with a voodoo doll, people drowning after falling through ice, gangs shooting up a Sports Authority store, etc. And somehow it all makes sense. It’s safe to say the Taiwanese do things differently than we do.
One thing they still mess up, though? They don’t know the difference between Sacramento’s basketball team and Los Angeles’ hockey team, even when talking about how NBC doesn’t know the difference.
You catch that? They mentioned NBC4’s mistake ...
... the King came on set to yell at the reporter ...
... and then replaced the Sacramento logo with a different Sacramento logo.
Sigh.
