Although the NHL lockout appears to have no end in sight, the league is taking some measures to be prepared if there is a resolution.
NHL teams will be allowed to recall junior players post-lockout
Teams have already submitted a list to the NHL of the junior players that they would like to join their team.

One of those measures is making sure that each team has a chance to recall some junior players that they are interested in, according to TSN.com.
As reported by TSN Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie on Twitter and TSN’s Insider Trading feature on Tuesday, NHL teams had to submit a short list last month of no more than two or three drafted CHL juniors they would like to recall if the work stoppage ends and a shortened season gets under way.
By submitting a player’s name, he is then eligible for consideration to be recalled once the lockout ends. However, the specifics of how this will work could change if the lockout goes on for longer.
The preseason schedule for the NHL has been cancelled through Sept. 30.
