The Boston Bruins announced Thursday the signing of 2012 first-round draft pick, goaltender Malcolm Subban, to a three-year entry-level contract. The 6'1, 188-pound Subban was the 24th overall selection in June's NHL Entry Draft.

The Boston Bruins signed their 2012 first-round draft pick, Malcolm Subban, to a three-year entry-level contract Thursday.

The 18-year-old spent the 2011-12 season with the Ontario Hockey League’s Belleville Bulls. There he compiled a 2.50 goals-against average and a .923 save percentage, with a 25-14 record and three shutouts in 39 games.
Subban, the younger brother of Montreal Canadiens defenseman P.K. Subban, also played for Canada's National Men's Under-18 Team at the 2011 IIHF World-Under 18 Championship in Germany, helping his team finish fourth with a 2.98 GAA and a 3-2 record.
According to NESN, Subban was in the Boston area not long ago, attending the annual development camp in Wilmington, Mass.
