Defenseman Michael Del Zotta has agreed to terms of a new contract with the New York Rangers and is expected to be in camp starting Sunday, according to TSN's Bob McKenzie:

Del Zotto would be the first of the top restricted free agents to sign since the new collective bargaining agreement was signed by the NHL and NHLPA late Saturday night. The defenseman did not sign his offer sheet over the summer and was one of several RFA’s to hold out on signing a new contract until after the new CBA was in place.
The Rangers defenseman was drafted in No. 20 overall in the 2008 draft by the Rangers, making his NHL debut in 2009-2010. After scoring nine goals and registering 37 points his rookie season, Del Zotto led all Rangers defensemen with 10 goals and 41 points in 77 games in 2011-12.
Del Zotto had reportedly been seeking a contract worth $3 million a season and while current terms of the tentative contract is not known, it was reported on Saturday that Del Zotto’s asking price had gone lower as negotiations continued throughout the week. Del Zotto earned $875,000 in 2011-12 in the final year of his entry-level contract.
